Hello, I want to go on a spiritual retreat camping trip solo this summer, but camp grounds/state parks where I am only allow you to stay no more than 15 consecutive days with out picking up and moving. I dont have contacts who own land to let me stay on. What are some options??

Homeless people camp all throughout the woods in my town...you could try that. But you might end up with some neighbors.

Actually, that's 15 days (usually on BLM or Forest Service Lands) after someone finds you and tells you you have 15 days! But what is so spiritual about another semi-permanent entanglement? Trim down to where you can easily move your doings. Getting attached and entangled is the opposite of a retreat. Travel light, be light, be a light in your travels. Regards, Larry.

No biggie. After 15 days just pack up and move a couple hundred yards away. Is this BLM land you're talking about?
I camped on BLM land for free in Colorado and Utah with the same 15-day restriction for almost 2 months with no problems. Just move a respectable distance after each 15 day period is up. |
