Me and a bunch of buddies are going camping over memorial day and we need to reserve to campsites by each other, but the problem is we're gonna start camping on Friday and most people will have moved in by then and taken the good spots so we're going up Tuesday and reserving them some how. I just need ideas of what to do cause I really don't want to leave a tent or vehicle unattended for 3 days. It could get stolen or trashed. All ideas and help are welcome! Thanks

Elect somebody who doesn't have a job to stay there and keep things safe. Pay for his food while he's there.

First come, First served is what it means. Unless there is a way for the site to be occupied by a person the site cannot be reserved. You know the risk of leaving equipment on a site unattended. So either you settle for a less or two less desirable spots or find a less occupied campground.

See,,,,,,that's the idea of first come first serve,,, you go and camp and take what you get and stop trying to put the screws to other law abiding campers, there is a place near me that is just such a camp, but if you squander that site you will be kicked out, So to answer you question You dont reserve a first come first serve camp site, So if you decide to just put up a tent for 3 days and your not even going to be there i hope someone has the opportunity to piss you off as well..........

Just go to a primitive location, off a trail in a national park. Find a nice spot and set up camp. Just be sure to follow Leave No Trace prinicles and you'll be fine.

Short of doing something like leaving something/someone there all week until you are ready to camp, you really can't reasearve a first-come-first-serve site. That's what first-come-first-serve means. You could talk to the office and see if you can sweet talk the ranger into saving it for you, but that doesn't always work.
