I'm Looking at a Coleman exponent Xpadition stove but I've found that the powermax fuel that it was designed to use is no longer avail. on the market. Does the exponant fuel bottle work with the stove without having to purchase the fuel adaptor?

I can only find two instances online where anyone mentions that the Powermax Fuel canisters are being discontinued? One is a review of the Xpedition stove at Siera Trading Post and the other is a single sentence on BackpackingLight.com's message boards. I emailed Coleman to see if they'll clear this up. Otherwise the adapter is necessary to use screw on bottles. It's $19.99 at Campmor.
