If you are going to camp in Scotland (and this may well apply other places in the UK too) take insect repellant. Midges can be horrible!

Tent, and items for same: sleeping bag, Pillow. Hot water bottle and if you are going to cook, take cooking rings. and a couple of pots and pan light of course. knife fork and spoon. plate and bowl. kettle for boiling water. bowl for washing up or use camping site facilities. If not washing up bowl put all in a cardboard box. and use it for carrying your items of requirement. Washing up liquid.
Personnel............... clean undies, 2 pairs jeans,3/4 tops a good heavy coat . And one washing up towel for washing in the camp site ,face cloth and soap. Keep everything to low minimum .. Have al ovely week-end. |

I agree with AngeG. With the warm clothes SOCKS are a must for sleeping in as well. You don't really need a pillow, a couple of sweatshirts will do the job. If you are in mixed tents - some sort of night shirt which can double as day time wear. You don't really want to carry much especially if you are planning on a lot of walking. i.e. to get there or when there.
Have fun - it sounds great.......... |

all of the above- a torch, matches, candles, waterproofs, a book, pack of cards, loo roll, plastic bag/s- YOU NEVER KNOW!
You can probably get by if you forget things, but ubless you have to carry it all on your back, I'd take more than you think you need- if things get wet or ripped you need to have spares! |
