I need some ideas for food that would could take on a camping trip. We are camping for three days, and two nights. We want to stray away from hotdogs. Thank you.

Corn on the cob is good. I usually wrap it in aluminum foil and just put it on the fire for a little while.

    Canned stuff.

Items that need to be refrigerated can be a hassle. You can use a cooler, but it is a bit more work.

Pop Tarts and such for breakfast, potted meat, tuna, canned chicken, soups/stews and such for other meals. Bread is easily kept for sandwiches and toast. Mac & Cheese in the box is easy (canned milk also). I like canned corned beef hash, potatoes, tomatoes and so on.

But, if you want to pack in cold stuff, take plenty of ice and avoid opening it as much as possible, there ain't nothin' better than bacon and eggs cooked outside on an open fire! Fried toast is great too! Hot dogs are easy, but if you dont want that, roast a chicken one night (gotta be sure to keep it cold). If you want to fool with keeping the cooler, just about anything can be taken. On a camping trip, any food tastes good!
